Meet the Jin

Today we announced the Jin, our 12th and final player race in Starmourn.

Female Jin

You can read all about them on the Jin page. I think you’re going to enjoy them!

I thought I’d share the initial concept art sketches that our artist did for the Jin too. In this case I ended up liking #3 on the female one well enough that I used that all bit itself, whereas the male is basically #1 with the pose of #3.

Congratulations you guys! All 12 races out!

Is the estimated millennium of Jin spaceflight known?

I’m hoping that the Song Dominion and the Celestine Ascendancy are the two other ‘Civilizations’ along with Scatterhome and we’ll get more in on them soon. There’s already information about the Decheerans and Nusriza having ties with the Song Dominon, but I believe the Celestine Ascendancy hasn’t been mentioned at all as of now.

    Keep up the good work!

These look pretty similar to Tau….. 🙂

Had to google to find out what the Tau are! I like sci-fi a lot but somehow have never really read/played much about Warhammer 40k. I see what you mean though about the influence! I’ll have to ask our concept artist if he used them as partial inspiration.

Not robots, but the thirdeye, purple skin, death, etc. references are AWESOME.

I definitely know what race I’m going to choose once Starmourn hits public.

If it wasn’t obvious, I’m making a Jin. I love the whole religion around death, reminds me of that random encounter Orc NPC in Skyrim that usually has a tiger or two dead near him and asking for a good death. I love that guy for some reason, poor bastard.
