11.2.5 The Jin Race

The Jin are a warrior race that originated on a distant planet called Ijzala; their population in the Starmourn Sector is descended entirely from refugees who fled a bloody genocide in their homeworld. They are now based in Scatterhome on their dismantled worldship, the Blood Ark.

Physically the Jin are characterized by their violet skin, clawed fingers, and lack of protruding ears. In the center of the forehead is a third eye which is inexplicably tied to the phenomenon of death, allowing the Jin to sense information about recent deaths nearby.

Most Jin have a calm temperament and find value in honorable action, with the greatest experience possible being an honorable death.
