--- A Lockwood - Synodic - Phis'tor - T'rvati initiative ---

--> MISSION

In the interest of cultivating a greater understanding of both the universe and our fellow inhabitants thereof, the Lockwood, Synodic, Phis'tor and T'rvati Dynasties have come together with the intent to establish the Starmourn Triptych Academy of Research (STAR), a new organization devoted to the advancement of the Starmourn Sector's scientific, historical, military and cultural knowledge. The Academy shall solicit essays, research papers and other analytical findings from its members on a rotating basis, collecting all such submissions deemed to be meritorious in a public Archive for the educational benefit of the Sector.

--> FOCUS & AWARDS

The topic of the submissions solicited shall rotate on an annual basis between scientific, historical, military and cultural research. At the end of each year, the Academy shall select one submission related to that year's topic of focus as particularly meritorious and award the author the Triptych Prize for their contributions to the advancement of knowledge, as well as a cash prize of 5000 marks.

The Academy will cycle its focus once every year in order of Scientific Research, Historical Research, Military and Cultural Research. The STAR Academy will offer publishing services to its Archive and Library, thus offering intellectuals a compensation in marks per meritorious work completed and published. All research and papers filed will be compensated regardless of the paper winning the yearly award or not.

--> MEMBERSHIP & PERKS

Access to this Archive shall not be restricted on the basis of race, affiliation or creed - all persons who agree to abide by the bylaws established by the Academy and who remain current on their annual dues (the membership program will have a cost of 1000 marks/year) shall be permitted to access the full Archive at will. Likewise, any seminars, debates or other meetings sponsored by the Academy shall be hosted in neutral space, such that all members of the Association in good standing may freely attend.

Perks of being part of the membership program include but are not limited to: Access to the library, Free use of the knowledge stored in the adjacent research, Access to events hosted by the Academy, Being part of the most Elite community of Research and Arts in the whole sector, Mentorship program from within the Academy, First priority in selection and recruitment for projects and contracts fully sponsored by the Academy.
