I want to begin by thanking Matt. His creativity, vision, and persistence are the reason these worlds exist at all, and we are all in his debt. His legacy is everywhere in Iron Realms, and we are grateful for everything he has built.

It is astonishing to think that our games have been running for nearly 30 years. Few online communities in the world can boast that kind of history, and the fact that MUDs remain alive and thriving today is a testament to you, the players who breathe life into them every single day. It is also the result of the hard work and creativity of current and past staff who have poured their passion into building and maintaining these worlds.

Today, it is the staff who continue to drive our games forward with their dedication and imagination. They create the experiences and stories that keep our worlds vibrant. But none of that would be possible without the support of you, the players, whose presence and commitment allow us to sustain well-staffed games and push the boundaries of what a text games can be.

My commitment is simple: to honor what makes these worlds special while ensuring they grow. That means finding new ways to introduce people to MUDs, making it easier for fresh faces to discover our games, and giving both new and veteran players reasons to keep coming back.

Iron Realms has always been about collaboration between staff, volunteers, and most of all, our community. I am excited to keep building the next chapter with you, and to make sure the next 30 years are as full of adventure as the first.

Thank you for being part of this wonderful adventure.
