Rapadruk Competition Results and Something Else...

[vid: Your mindsim screen fades into a fish-eye lens focused entirely too close to Arissa Moonchild's face, lambent eyes blinking owlishly as she fiddles with the settings. Finally, the camera zooms out enough to show the fish-woman's seated frame, taking a blurry second as the AI searches for its focus point. The scene sharpens, focusing the odd fish-eye perspective on a well dressed Amaian woman wearing Winterflame inspired clothing and sipping a hot beverage from her transteel thermos.]
"Hello Sector!"

"It is I, the Arissa, bringing you fresh, [img: At the word 'fresh' a glisteningly fresh Delphic herring flashes onto the screen before flipping back to Arissa.] news from the Ascendancy! We would like to thank all participants for contributing to this Rapadruk festival. You gave us some AMAZING ideas, some FABULOUS creations, and some INTENSE joy as we all sought our own way to celebrate, or not."

[The camera zooms out further showing a tall conifer in the background, lit, but with zero ornaments.]
"First, I would like to congratulate Desmond Lockwood for winning our crafting competition!" [effect: a wild round of applause briefly sounds in the background]. "His breathing, monstrous looking chest was massively popular among the Guardians, and if gossip is to be believed, quite popular in the Sector as a whole!"

[a speedy reel of words flashes on the screen announcing the prizes Desmond Lockwood will receive to include: 100,000 marks, fifty credits, and a special Rapadruk design to his specifications.]
"I would also like to thank the following individuals for submitting to the contest:

Rair
Ringmistress Tru Badour
Lord Commander Picram

[a still image of a fuzzy, bat-shaped portfolio, an icehorn pikato, and a Rapadruk themed bowtie play on the screen to the wobbly sound of holiday music and then racous applause before training back on Arissa.]
"Second, we had a few submissions for the custom pikato carving contest: a Winterflame themed one, and a fish themed one! [a brief image flashes showing both pikatos, one painted with a baby icehorn, and the other sculpted to look like an araxi fish.] Well done to both pikato carving participants, and your pikatos will adorn the Crossings next year in giant form!"

"Finally, and this one was my most favourite, the Junk Soup category! You all handed the Arissa so many interesting ingredients and there were too many to really keep track of, but I took sample bowls at different stages whilst it was cooking in the cauldron!

[a brief picture of five dishes in various states of matter flashes on the screen, though there are no labels.]
"The Arissa is currently discussing the possibility of recreating each dish in massive proportion so that all Spacers may try it, and we will be selling these dishes for a while in a pop-up restaurant until Winterflame at which point we will tuck away the recipes until next year."

[another long list of words scrolls up on the screen in what looks like terms and liability legalese, a prominent sentence notably stating that you eat each dish at your own risk.

[The camera zooms out even further to take in the whole of Arissa reclining atop a fainting couch, beclawed fingers wrapped around a transteel thermos.]
"And as a sneak peeka several stills of Winterflame themed activities and objects flash on the screen showing ornaments, a snowy village, stockings, presents stacked precariously and other traditional moments] "Look for an upcoming post from our new Guardian Envoy Lupisentia about all of the Winterflame frivolity Celestine will be hosting this year! I hear it is going to be utterly magical."

[The camera zooms back in uncomfortably close to Arissa's face, seemingly unsure of where it should be focusing as she speaks.]
"So, from all of us, to all of you, we hope you had a Happy Rapadruk, and that you are as excited about the upcoming holidays as we are!"

[Arissa winks at the camera, the fisheye lens having zoomed in even closer to just her eyeball as she says, "See you soon!" before fading to black]
