The Dominion Games.

Greetings, sector.

I am quite thrilled to announce a series of sector wide contests: the Dominion Games! Throughout multiple Syncs starting on Nulday in the 3rd week of Aegis, 980 A.E., there will be various events to determine who is the most agile pilot, the fastest hacker and the most fearsome combatant (//that's Sync from Friday, Sep 26th to Saturday, Sep 27th). You are more than welcome to participate in any contest you're interested in. Just for participating, you will receive one missile battery for the mission control board, but the prizes don't stop there! The winner of each contest will receive an artefact of their choice for up to 200 credits! Second place will receive an artefact of their choice for up to 100 credits. Should you win multiple contests, you might also ask for an artefact for up to your cumulative wins instead (or multiple artefacts of that cumulative value). As the official referee and host, I will not be allowed to compete in those events.

The following events will be available:

Ship race: Time Trial Trucking (will start around Sync, give or take an hour, and end at Sunday, Sync-2)

Throughout the duration of the games, which is currently planned for three Syncs, a time trial race will be open for Superhaulers only to find out who is the fastest space trucker of them all. Try as many times as you like (you will still only get one missile battery for participation) until the event ends! Note that you will not be able to use skip tricks or void gates during your attempts.

Ship race: The Fast and the Fragile (//Saturday, Sync-4)

Still got your interceptor? Good, for it will finally see some use again. Tune up your interceptor or use it as is, and try to finish a tour through Dominion space in real time against the other pilots. To keep things fair, skip tricks will be disabled for this race as well, and you will not be allowed to shoot the other racers. We will have events to quench your blood thirst too!

Battlespace: Free for all (//Saturday, Sync-3)

This event will put your piloting skills to the test. Everyone will get the same interceptor loadout, and once all are ready, the last remaining ship will be declared the winner! We've chosen to focus on interceptors because this means that once again, everyone can participate, and because past experiences with larger ships have proven to be rather time consuming, especially once you get into a 1v1 phase. To build your ship, please use the following commands. (//you can just paste the commands as a block once you started the building process with SF NEW (short name) (long name))

SF NEW (short name) (long name)

SF MODEL 25
SF INSTALL CAPACITOR 2
SF INSTALL ENGINE 23
SF INSTALL SHIELD 3
SF INSTALL SHIPSIM 2
SF INSTALL SENSOR 1
SF INSTALL MODULE 5
SF INSTALL MODULE 4
SF LOAD 3 ASTROMECH
SF LOAD 25 REPAIRKIT
SF LOAD 10 THERMAL_BATTERY
SF LOAD 10 GRAVITIC_BATTERY
SF LOAD 10 KINETIC_BATTERY
SF LOAD 10 EM_BATTERY

Arena: Rampage! (//Sync to Sunday)

After all that space action, we should ground ourselves a little, which means the action will continue in the Omni Arena with a rampage! Rack up kills during the first stage, and be the last being alive once the finale phase starts. Aside of the winner and the second place, 100 credits will be added to the prize total for whoever racks up most kills during the first phase.

Arena: Tournament (//Sunday, Sync-6)

Sign up for a series of 1v1 fights to determine the deadliest fighter in a series of arena spars. To sign up, please drop me a quick message ahead of time. Thank you!

Competitive hacking (//Sunday, Sync-4)

In the final event, your hacking skills will be put to the test. Since it is not possible for multiple people to enter the very same grid, you will be given a series of terminals to hack to at least somewhat limit the randomness of the terminals. You will be tasked with retrieving some items from behind a list of terminal doors. First person to return with all the items will win the prize. Should you find any items dropped behind hacking doors prior to the contest, please leave them there until you are tasked to retrieve them. Note that the use of overrides will not be allowed and will lead to disqualification from the hacking contest, forfeiting both the missile battery and the credit prize. The competition will be held in Song City, so please refrain from hacking any of the doors shortly before the event to avoid still having access to them when the competition starts. To make preparation a little easier for me, please also sign up for this event ahead of time via a quick message. Thank you!

In service,

Picram
Lord Commander
