6.10.6.1 Hybrid Mods

Hybrid Mods are a unique type of mod which can only be slotted into particular pieces of equipment. Hybrid Mods allow you to have both Weapon and Armor Mod Effects in the same mod. 

Hybrid mods can apply effects somewhat differently depending on the weapon it is slotted into. At the moment, however, hybrid mods are limited to the BEAST's Shield, and there are special restrictions to keep in mind:

    - When Armor Mod Effects that take the highest level Mod Effect IN THE SCOPE OF AN    
    ATTACK are checked, if the BEAST's Shield is active, it will also take it into 
    consideration. 

    - The Shield is included in all bodypart scopes, meaning, for instance, a  
    Limbdrain to the Left Arm will trigger any armor mod effects which dampen 
    Muscular affliction damage or duration present in a Shield. Hybrid Mods do not 
    contribute Mod Effects where it is stated in MOD EFFECT INFO.

To craft a Hybrid Mod, you either need to have both the Armor and Weapon Modding tradeskills, or you two modders have to work together.
