8.2 Changing Class

Changing class is a simple matter. If you have spent less than 850 lessons in your class skills, you will have all of your lessons returned. If you have learned over this threshold, you will lose 50% of your invested lessons.

If you wish to quit your class, you can do this from anywhere:

   CLASS QUIT

To join a new class, you will need to travel to your battlemaster's home world (see HELP BATTLEMASTERS) and find the class change room. Once you are standing in the class change room, type the following:

   CLASS JOIN <class>

The specific class joining rooms for each location are:

B.E.A.S.T.: A hangar of unpiloted B.E.A.S.T. suits on standby. (v6681)
Engineer: A junk yard full of scrap behind the workshop. (v7863)
Fury: Balancing on the lip of an active volcano. (v9939)
Nanoseer: Before an elaborate, patterned mural of mazelike graffiti. (v9938)
Scoundrel: A firing range behind The Bolthole. (v6990)

IMPORTANT NOTES:

Quitting your class is NOT the mechanic you will use to SWITCH to a different class. Once you QUIT your class, you are no longer considered a member of that class, and your skills and lessons are gone, and must be relearned should you ever CLASS JOIN that class again. See HELP MULTICLASSING.

Switching your class will result in all your currently worn armor being unequipped. You will need to re-equip armor applicable to your newly chosen class, so be sure you don't sell something you may wish to use in the future!
