9.3 Ship Commands

HOW DO I FLY???
---------------
The most basic commands you will need for traveling on your ship:

SHIP LIST List your ship(s) as well as location.

SHIP BOARD Get on the first/only ship you own at a docking bay.
SHIP BOARD <shortname> Get on a specified ship.
   SHIP LAUNCH Enter space!

SHIP TURN <direction> Point your ship that way.
SHIP THRUST Spin up the engines and start moving!
SHIP MAXSPEED Set your maximum speed.
   SHIP HALT Stop the engines.
SHIP TRAVEL TO <dest.> Set your autopilot to take you somewhere.
SHIP PLOT TO <dest.> See the co-ords of your destination without moving.

SHIP DISEMBARK Get off your ship.

CONFIG PROMPT SHIP OFF Reset to the default ship prompt.

There are many commands available for more precise control of your ship, and some learnt through captaincy:

SHIP List all applicable SHIP commands

WHERE AM I???
-------------
Your current location is displayed on your prompt. For example, at Omni Station, which is in the Aleph system, you will see at the end of a normal ship prompt:

When docked: Omni Station's tumultuous docking bay
   When launched: Aleph (123, 123)

Some other useful commands relating to your location:

STARCHART View a map of the Sector (HELP STARCHART for more).
STATIONS View known stations (HELP STATIONS for more).

HOW DO I GET SUPPLIES (AMMO, REPAIR KITS)???
--------------------------------------------
There are several options:
1. Dock at a station and enter the shipforge.
All supplies are always available from the ship forge on any station, but are a priced at a premium.
2. Check the MARKET LIST to see player commodities for sale.
This is usually a lot cheaper than the shipforge, but it can be hit and miss depending on who's selling what.
3. Check with your faction.
Often factions sell ship supplies at a subsidised rate for members only!
4. Make your own!
For the more adventurous spacers among you, you may wish to make your own supplies or even start selling them. They can be made at autofactories, which you may own but don't have to to produce them. Check AUTOFACTORY WHATMAKES <item> to see what resources you would need.

SF ENTER Build, modify, and stock your ship (HELP SHIPFORGE).
