2.1 Base Commands
Here is a list of the basic commands you'll want to know for playing Starmourn. If you see a word in angled brackets "<word>", this is where you want to put your intended word, you do not need to put the <> in. Getting help ------------ HELP - Access the help system. NEWBIE <msg> - Ask a question on the newbie channel. Moving around ------------- LOOK - Look at your current location. GLANCE <dir> - Look in a direction. N,E,S,W,UP,DOWN,IN,OUT - Move in any direction available to you. CRASH <dir> - Attempt to escape combat with another. FLY - Attempt to fly in your current room. LAND - Land back on the ground. FOLLOW <person> - Follow someone while they're moving. LOSE <person> - Stop following someone. Your character -------------- SCORE - Gain information about your character. DIAGNOSE - See information about your health. STATS - View and invest stat points. MINDSIM - Interact with various mindsim systems. CUSTOMIZE - Customise various elements of your character. Talking and interacting with others ----------------------------------- WHO - List all online players QWHO - Condensed (quick) view of all online players. SAY <whatever> - Speak to people in your room. TELL <person> <msg> - Send a private message to an online player. REPLY <msg> - Reply to the last person who sent you a tell. MESSAGE <person> <msg> - Send a private message to an offline player. FACTIONTELL <msg> - Talk on your faction channel. Logging out ----------- QUIT - Log out of Starmourn. Skills and abilities -------------------- ABILITIES - List all skills. AB <skill> - List all abilities in a skill. AB <skill> <ability> - Get details of a specific ability. Items and Inventory ------------------- INFO HERE - See items in your current room. INVENTORY - See items in your inventory. PROBE <item> - Get details of an item. GET <item> - Pick an item up off the ground. DROP <item> - Drop an item on the ground. GIVE <item> TO <person> - Give something to someone. WEAR <item> - Wear a wearable item. REMOVE <item> - Remove a worn item. EAT <item> - Eat an edible item. DRINK <item> - Drink from an item. READ <item> - Read an item. OPEN <item> - Open a closed item. CLOSE <item> - Close an open item. PUSH <item> - May or may not do something. PULL <item> - May or may not do something. TOUCH <item> - May or may not do something. TURN <item> - May or may not do something. USE <item> - May or may not do something. Adventuring ----------- QUESTS - See your quest log. QUEST <name> - See details of an active quest. News ---- NEWS - See a summary of the news boards. NEWS <board> - List posts on a board. NEWS READ <board> - Read the next post on a board. NEWS READ <board> <#> - Read a specific post. Time and Date ------------- TIME - See the time and date.
