9.5.4 Ship Cargo

Ship cargo refers to resources such as ammunition as well as uninstalled components and modules. Cargo can be on your ship or held at a station.

SHIP CARGO View contents of your cargo bay.
CARGO CONTENTS ALL View all cargo stored on your ship or at a station.
CARGO STORE <#> <type> Move cargo from your cargo bay to the station.
CARGO LOAD <#> <type> Move cargo from the station to your cargo bay.

Cargo is also sometimes found drifting in space... after a ship explodes, for instance.

CARGO RECOVER <dir> Pick up cargo in space when you are adjacent to it.

Cargo storage
-------------
Storing cargo on a planet or station will cost you a small amount of marks every month. The storage costs will vary based on the strength of the economy that the planet/station is in, with more popular locations having a higher storage cost.

In order to pay for storage, you will need to have marks in your Cargo subaccount, and the system will automatically withdraw it from there each month. To transfer marks into this account, use MARKS MOVE <amt> TO CARGO.

Factional storage
=================
Factions can store cargo on planets or stations, just like players can. Unlike player-owned one, faction-owned cargo cannot be loaded into ships directly. To access faction storage, use these commands:

   FACTION STORAGE DEPOSIT <amount> <type>
   FACTION STORAGE WITHDRAW <amount> <type>
   FACTION STORAGE LIST HERE [filter]

The commodities will be transferred to/from your personal storage. You must be at the planet or station where the commodities are stored.

All members can deposit to the faction, but only those with the 'storage' faction power can withdraw or see the list.

Factions incur the same costs as players, these are taken from the organizational Marks account.
